Team Members

beata Beata was born and raised in Krakow, Poland. After spending several years in the United States, she decided to return to Poland and now resides in the capital, Warsaw. She hosts the All About Polish Series, Basic Bootcamp Series, and Pronunciation Series at PolishPod101.com. She holds a master’s degree in Slovak Philology and a postgraduate degree in teaching Polish as a foreign language from Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland.
Besides Polish she is also fluent in other Slavic languages such as Russian and Slovak. Studying foreign languages and sharing her experiences has been Beata’s lifelong passion.
nick Nick was born and raised in a Polish neighborhood in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, and has attended schools in both the Unites States and Poland, holding degrees in English writing from King’s College in Wilkes-Barre and a degree in Polish Studies from Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland. He currently resides in Warsaw. He hosts the All About Polish Series, Basic Bootcamp Series, and Pronunciation Series at PolishPod101.com. Nick is a passionate cook and enjoys using gastronomy as a doorway into foreign languages and cultures.
Joanna Suchecka Joanna Suchecka was born in Poland, and is a native Polish speaker, and also fluent in English and Japanese. As a huge fan of Japanese mythology and Asian culture, she’s currently living in Japan and working. She hopes to continue learning other languages such as Korean and Spanish, and also to spend time learning more about paper craft, photographing nature, and reading books. She is very glad to be working with the PolishPod101.com team, and hopes that the listeners will enjoy her work as well.
Piotr Nonas Piotr Nonas Piotr was born and raised in Lodz, Poland and is fluent in Polish, English and Bulgarian. He has a degree in International Relations and has been working in the field for over the decade. He is interested in world history and politics. He is very glad to be working with the PolishPod101.com team, and hopes that the listeners will enjoy his work as well.
Marek Letowski Marek Letowski Marek Letowski was born in Poland. He’s graduated from UAM University in Poland and holds a TEFL certificate. He has lived in many different countries including Sweden, Russia, Germany, and Japan. He loves to travel, especially in Asia and South America. His most recent destination was India.
Hanna Galczynska Hanna Galczynska Hanna was born in Szczecin in northeastern Poland. She is a native Polish speaker and also fluent in English and Japanese. Learning foreign languages is her passion and made her keep studying more languages, including French and Korean. In the future, she wants to translate Japanese literature into Polish. When she is free, she enjoys doing yoga, reading Japanese novels, listening to music, cooking, and drawing. She is glad to be a part of the PolishPod101 Team and helping Polish learners around the world.
Lukasz Lukasz Lukasz, a native Polish speaker, was born and raised near Warsaw, Poland and has traveled throughout Europe, parts of Asia, and currently lives in Japan. He holds a Master’s Degree in Banking and is interested in history, travel, and culture. Lukasz also speaks English and is learning Japanese. He works as a Polish language narrator in Tokyo.
Magdalena Osiejewicz Magdalena Osiejewicz Magdalena was born in Warsaw, Poland. She holds a Master’s Degree in English Studies from the University of Warsaw. She has been living in Cape Town, South Africa since 2011. Her professional experience includes content creation, translation, language teaching and research. Foreign languages and literature are her biggest passions. She has a bilingual proficiency in Polish and English. She’s also fluent in French and Italian and is currently learning Russian.
Igor Zapała Igor Zapała Igor was born in Poland, where he spent the first five years of his life, before his parents decided to move to a city on the German-Polish border. There, he grew up bilingual, living in a Polish household while attending a German school. After graduating from high school, Igor spent five years in the German capital Berlin before deciding to move to Japan. His interests include music, movies, and pop culture in general.
Emil Emil Emil moved to Japan in 2014 and now works as a freelance cameraman and video creator. In his free time, he enjoys traveling around Japan, which he has done in a campervan and even by bicycle.
Anna Lata Anna Lata Anna was born in Poland, where she graduated from Warsaw University with a master’s degree in pedagogy. She has worked as a Polish language teacher in Warsaw, before later moving to Japan in 2007 and opening a Polish language school for children in Tokyo. She is a passionate traveler who also enjoys dancing, cycling, reading, and listening to music.
