I picked away at learning a new language for a long time and only had a small vocabulary at first. During the first week of your site’s regular routine I was able to spot the grammatical information needed to make up my own version of the sentences rather than repeat what I had learned in parrot fashion.

Thoroughly enjoying the routine and the improvement so that I can engage in a longer and more interesting conversation with my Polish colleagues.

I have found PolishPod101.com to be quite useful for learning Polish. It is a good introduction to important phrases, which I have been able to utilize in building my comprehension of Polish at my own pace. It has been wonderful to review the lessons as many times as I need to get a general idea of what is being said and gradually pick up on the subtle nuances. I have even been taking PolishPod101.com on the go with me on my MP3 player, so that I can keep practicing. Thanks to PolishPod101.com, I will be able to make the most of my internship in Poland and make a concerted effort to immerse myself in the culture

The PolishPod101 Word of the day is helping me to learn some Polish. The complete sentences are a little confusing and difficult to pronounce, but that is probably because the Slavic language speaker uses different speaking muscles than English speakers. I’m having to relearn how to listen and speak in Polish. Thanks for the great resource.

I am Polish but grew up never learning the language from my parents or grandparents. I always heard it spoken at family holidays and while my father was on the phone, but putting a simple sentence together was beyond me. I’ve only listened to 2 lessons but learned more in two days, than my entire life of just hearing it in passing. I was actually able to even say please and thank you properly to a Polish nurse who attended to me after a car accident. I look forward to many more lessons and putting my new skills to use with my parents and around Chicagoland.
Thank you!
