Hi, everybody!
Do you know how to say 'I love you' in Polish? In this lesson, you'll learn three different ways to say 'I love you' and a special phrase for Valentine's Day.
Let’s start with the most common phrase.
Kocham cię.
[slowly] Kocham cię.
"I love you."
This phrase is direct. You should use it only when you're confessing your love.
If you want to be less direct, you can use this phrase.
Znaczysz dla mnie tak wiele.
[slowly] Znaczysz dla mnie tak wiele.
It means "You mean so much to me."
Now if you want to be more romantic in expressing your love for someone, you can say this phrase.
Mojej miłości do ciebie nie da się wyrazić słowami.
[slowly] Mojej miłości do ciebie nie da się wyrazić słowami.
It means "Words cannot describe my love for you."
Now you know three different ways to say 'I love you' in Polish! And here's one more. What if you want to spend Valentine's Day with someone special? In that case, you can say...
Będziesz moją Walentynką?
[slowly] Będziesz moją Walentynką?
It means "Will you be my Valentine?"

In Poland, there are two names for February 14. The one which is a translation of Valentine's Day is Walentynki, but there is also Dzień Zakochanych, which means Amorous Day.
