Hi everyone! I’m Alisha.
Welcome to Conversational Phrases!
We’ve found that the best way to learn a language is to speak it from day one! And the best way to start speaking is to learn phrases that you’ll use in real conversations.
In this lesson, you’ll learn conversational phrases to answer the question, "What are you good at?" After watching this video, you’ll be able to talk about what you’re good at doing.
Now, let’s take a look at some conversational phrases!
Listen to the dialogue.
W czym jest Pani dobra?
Jestem dobra w językach.
Once more with the English translation.
W czym jest Pani dobra?
“What are you good at?”
Jestem dobra w językach.
“I'm good at languages.”
First of all you'll need to learn how to say “What are you good at?”
That's: W czym jest Pani dobra?
Listen to it again: W czym jest Pani dobra?, W czym jest Pani dobra?
This Polish sentence literally translates as “In what is madam good?” But it means “What are you good at?”.
Now, how do you answer this question?
The pattern is:
Jestem dobra [skill].
“I'm good [skill].”
For example:
“I'm good at languages.”
Jestem dobra w językach., Jestem dobra w językach.
