| Marzena: I agree. It can be difficult to market yourself correctly in such a short time. |
| Michael: And some of the questions can be hard to answer. |
| Marzena: The questions we heard in the dialogue this time were pretty straight forward though, I think. |
| Michael: Yes, they were some of the more common questions. What are job interviews like in Poland? What are companies looking for? |
| Marzena: I think that the most important thing is your experience. |
| Michael: Try to make your experience relevant to the job at hand. |
| Marzena: The second most important thing is how you conduct yourself at the interview. |
| Michael: This can be the hardest thing. How important is education? |
| Marzena: It’s becoming less important, I think. |
| Michael: Finally, how do we say "CV" or "resume" in Polish? |

| Michael: This is a demonstrative in the genitive case for feminine nouns and means "this." |
| Marzena: pory means "period." It is the genitive of pora. |
| Michael: You can use this phrase to say that something was happening until this point in time. |
| Marzena: It can be used in both formal and informal settings. |

| Marzena: Yes. Wyzwanie comes from the verb wyzywać. |
| Michael: This verb means "to challenge somebody." |
| Marzena: You can use the noun whenever you want to talk about a challenge. |
| Michael: It can be used in both formal and informal settings. Can you give us an example using this word? |

| Michael: "sales representative." Once you’ve talked about your education and employment, you’ll likely be asked why you are applying for the job. |
| Marzena: For example, you might hear Dlaczego wybrał pan naszą firmę? |
| Michael: "Why did you choose our company?" |
| Marzena: Or, Dlaczego zdecydowała się pani na zmianę pracy? |
| Michael: "Why did you decide to change your job?" They can be very daunting questions to answer. |
| Marzena: A common way to answer these questions, or any questions, is with ponieważ. |
| Michael: "Because." How can we answer these questions with "because"? |
| Marzena: Ponieważ chcę się rozwijać. |
| Michael: "Because I want to progress myself." |
| Marzena: If asked a direct question, you can drop ponieważ. Chcę się rozwijać. |
