Lesson focus

In this lesson, we'll learn about a place crucial to your travels in this modern age: the Internet café! You can find Internet cafés in most towns in Poland. Normally, you find Internet cafés in main cities. However, if you are in a very small town, there is a possibility the town is not connected to the World Wide Web. Don't be scared to try to go back and get used to the old standards of communication.
Let's imagine you're at the reception desk and you need to ask how much the connection is and for how long. Przepraszam, ile kosztuje godzina połączenia z Internetem? This literally means "Excuse me, how much is one hour of connection to the Internet?" This sentence is made up of przepraszam and ile kosztuje, which we have already seen in previous lessons, followed by godzina, meaning "hour." This is followed by połączenia, which stands for "connection."
The phrase ends with z Internetem ("with the Internet").
They will probably answer you with the price per hour.
Let's imagine that an hour of connection to the Internet costs four złoty.
You will hear then Cztery złote.

Outro

Okay, to close out this lesson, we'd like you to practice what you've just learned. I'll provide you with the English equivalent of the phrase and you're responsible for shouting it aloud.
You have a few seconds before I give you the answer, so powodzenia, which means “good luck” in Polish.
"Excuse me, how much is an hour on the Internet?" - Przepraszam, ile kosztuje godzina połączenia z Internetem?
